Amanda Neves Therapy is a warm and friendly, boutique private practice looking to welcome a registered social worker living in Ontario who is interested in providing remote and in person psychotherapy with a vibrant team of RSWs. Meaningful connection is at the forefront of how our team supports diverse clients through a variety of life challenges. Our clinic focuses on supporting Millennials and Gen Zs from a variety of intersectionalities with mental health, trauma (both relational and systemic), and attachment difficulties. Using the brain’s capacity for healing, the team applies an integrated approach to therapy, including evidence based, experiential, relational, and somatic techniques.

In this practice, the chosen candidate would benefit from:

  • Consistent individual and group supervision from a variety of modalities including AEDP, IFS, attachment focused therapy, EFT/EFFT, CBT, ACT and mindfulness.

  • Personal advertising and client referrals

  • Mentorship on a functioning business model where you can learn the logistics of running a psychotherapy business

  • Flexibility in scheduling clients at a time that mutually works for you both

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Master of Social Work from an accredited university

  • A member in good standing with the OCSWSSW

  • 3+ years of experience providing psychotherapy in a clinical setting

  • Post-grad education in somatic, relational, or experiential modalities considered an asset and these candidates will be preferred (IFS, AEDP, somatic experiencing, EMDR, EFT)

  • Proof of professional liability insurance

  • Consistent access to a private space with reliable internet access

  • Some flexibility in working around client scheduling (may include an evening or weekend)

  • Interest in light in-person work at our Toronto office considered an asset

  • Able to commit to one year (12 months) of practice together

  • Interest in participating in content creation (reels, articles, etc)

  • Experience providing online therapy considered an asset; knowledge of ethics around online therapy is a must

  • Shared values including anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice, trauma informed care, 2SLGBTQ+ inclusivity, intersectional practice, and openness to further learning and unlearning

  • An ideal client would also be comfortable with a small client base that builds over time
